Senior Accountant / Finance - Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi Speaking Accounting Full-Time Senior-level(6+ yrs)
Job Description Role Overview
The primary objective of this role is to drive financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance by overseeing financial reporting, managing core accounting functions, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial insights and controls.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & MIS
Prepare and present monthly MIS reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
Provide actionable insights to management to support business performance and cost optimization.
Monitor financial KPIs and highlight risks and opportunities.
Accounts Receivable & Payable
Oversee end-to-end AR/AP processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and supplier payments.
Perform regular reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Strengthen credit control processes and manage aging reports.
Inventory & Cost Accounting
Manage inventory accounting, stock valuation, and reconciliation across multiple business units.
Ensure accuracy in cost allocation, stock movements, and reporting.
Work closely with operations to minimize stock variances and losses.
Ensure full compliance with Kenyan tax regulations, including VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), and other statutory obligations.
Prepare and file accurate tax returns within deadlines.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
Financial Close & Controls
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
Support audit processes and implement recommendations for continuous improvement.
Act as a key liaison between finance and business units, including suppliers and partners.
Leverage language skills to facilitate smooth communication and negotiations with regional stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications: Qualified (CPA / ACCA / CA, Inter CA) and an MBA in Finance.Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MIS, reporting, and Excel/ERP systems.Language Skills: Proficiency in English, Swahili, Hindi, Gujarati, and Punjabi is mandatory.Sector Experience: Candidates with experience in trading, logistics, petroleum, or FMCG sectors are preferred.Eligibility: Candidates who are non-Kenyan passport holders but possess permanent residency are encouraged to apply.
