The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is the National Prosecuting Authority in Kenya, established by Article 157 of the Constitution to handle all criminal cases in the country. The office is seeking to recruit five (5) qualified individuals for the position of Accountant to strengthen its financial management team.
Job Overview
Accountants are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the institution's overall fiscal accountability.
Responsibilities
Maintain systematic and accurate financial records.
Prepare financial statements and performance reports.
Ensure all transactions comply with government financial regulations and accounting standards.
Process payments and manage payroll/petty cash systems.
Support audit processes and budget monitoring activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance option), Accounting, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certified Public Accountant – CPA Part II or its equivalent qualifications.
Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 (Leadership and Integrity).
