Accountant

CDL Human Resource is seeking a qualified Accountant to oversee and manage the company’s books of accounts. This role is responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, and providing support for financial reporting and audits. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the FMCG or Agribusiness sector, particularly in inventory management and financial reporting.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n* Oversee and manage the company’s books of accounts, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified.\n* Process supplier invoices, customer receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions.\n* Prepare payment vouchers, manage accounts payable and receivable functions, and ensure all transactions are accurately reflected in the financial system.\n* Assist in the reconciliation of bank accounts and effective management of the cashbook to ensure accurate reporting of cash balances.\n* Support the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and analysis as required.\n* Ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations, including VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, and other local tax laws. Prepare and file necessary returns on time.\n* Track and reconcile stock-related financial transactions for fresh produce, cereals, and other inventory items, ensuring accuracy in cost of goods sold and inventory valuation.\n* Maintain a well-organized filing system for financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and payment records, ensuring proper documentation for audits and internal controls.\n* Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes and ensure the timely resolution of audit queries and adjustments.\n* Assist in the development of financial strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and any other finance-related duties as assigned by senior management.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n* BA/BSc/HND degree in a relevant field.\n* 4-6 years in an FMCG industry, Agribusiness, or production environment.\n* CPA (K) or CPA finalist.\n* Advanced Excel proficiency and strong data analysis capabilities.\n* Solid experience with the Odoo ERP system.\n* Understanding of product pricing and demonstrable expertise in inventory management.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the CDL Human Resource recruitment portal on Zoho Recruit:
