Accountant

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely updates.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Assist with audits and financial reviews.
• Manage invoicing, billing, and expense tracking.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Requirements

• Demographic: Local Asian Kenyan candidate preferred as per client specifications.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of Kenyan tax laws and financial regulations.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage.
• Experience working in a similar industry or corporate environment.
