Reeds Africa Consult is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their service shop in Nakuru. This role involves managing the end-to-end customer service process, supervising technical staff, and ensuring high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair. The supervisor will be responsible for customer interaction, technical guidance for mechanics, and administrative duties including report preparation and data management.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Attend to customers on a first-come, first-served basis, document complaints in job cards, and provide labor and parts cost estimates.
Technical Supervision: Brief mechanics on specific jobs, oversee repairs, and conduct road trials to ensure vehicle complaints are resolved.
Quality Control: Ensure vehicles are delivered clean and explain work details/future maintenance needs to customers.
Parts & Equipment Management: Return replaced parts to customers, ensure all tools and equipment are functional, and coordinate with parts shops for inventory.
Administrative Tasks: Maintain proper housekeeping, prepare daily workshop reports, and enter job card data into SAP and DMS systems.
Performance Monitoring: Track vehicle inflow against plans and monitor mechanic productivity for continuous improvement.
National Team Coordination: Submit service reports to the national team and manage warranty authorizations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
At least two years of working experience in a workshop supervisor or related technical position.
Proficiency in basic computer packages, specifically MS Excel and MS Word.
Better understanding of TVS Bikes, Piaggio, and Briggs service and repair.
Must possess a valid driving license.
High integrity and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills.
