The Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Welder. Established in 1961, KIMC is a premier institution dedicated to training in the fields of electronic engineering and mass communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and metal fabrication tasks within the institution.
Responsibilities
Perform welding tasks using various techniques to join metal components.
Conduct repairs on institutional structures and equipment as required.
Ensure all metalwork meets the required technical and safety standards.
Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
Adhere to occupational health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
Government Trade Test Certificate: Grade III in Welding, or a relevant Certificate/Diploma in welding from a recognized institution.
Education: Minimum grade of D- (minus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
