Role Overview\nAs a BCS Watchstander / DDC Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Building Control Systems (BCS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC). Your primary goal is to effectively and efficiently monitor and manage commodity production and distribution. This is a critical role requiring 24/7 watchstanding coverage to ensure system integrity and compliance with operational standards in a government or industrial facility environment.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Operate and maintain BCS and DDC platforms to monitor critical infrastructure including HVAC, lighting, and utilities.\n- Provide uninterrupted 24/7 coverage to ensure all demand requirements and performance standards are met.\n- Respond immediately to system alarms and alerts, troubleshooting technical issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent service disruptions.\n- Conduct routine diagnostics, inspections, repairs, and calibration of equipment to ensure system reliability.\n- Maintain comprehensive logs and reports covering performance data, shift incidents, and resolution of system issues.\n- Schedule and assist with planned preventative maintenance and inspections of all connected systems.\n- Assist in integrating and troubleshooting new equipment or software upgrades into the existing platform.\n- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure systems remain compliant with military, government, and industry guidelines.\n- Help train other personnel in BCS/DDC operations to maintain team competence.\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, and repairing Building Control Systems (BCS) or Direct Digital Control Systems (DDC).\n- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting systems within industrial, commercial, or government facilities.\n- High school diploma or equivalent is required.\n- Technical certifications or coursework in HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), or electronics are highly desirable.\n- Ability to perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and control hardware.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply online through the Amentum careers portal.
