The County Government of Nyeri is seeking Weights and Measures Officer Interns to join its team. This internship offers hands-on experience and training in legal metrology, enforcement of weights and measures standards, and ensuring consumer protection in trade within Nyeri County.
Responsibilities
Assist in the verification and calibration of weighing and measuring instruments used in trade.
Support the team in conducting inspection visits to business premises to check compliance with weights and measures regulations.
Assist in document preparation, data entry, and record-keeping related to verified tools.
Help address and record customer complaints on measurement irregularities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BSc) / BSS in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent qualification.
