The County Government of Nyeri is offering internship opportunities for three (3) Plant / Automotive Mechanics Interns. This role is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience to recent graduates in the field of automotive and plant engineering, helping them develop professional technical skills within a public service context.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing county vehicles and plant machinery.
Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections on mechanical systems.
Identify mechanical defects and report them to supervising officers.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
Keep accurate logs and records of vehicle servicing and repaired machinery.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Diploma or Certificate in Plant / Automotive Engineering from a recognized institution.
Strong technical and troubleshooting mindset.
Eagerness to learn and adhere to workshop safety protocols.
