Job Description
Role Objective
Our client, a prestigious hotel, is seeking a polished and service-driven Waiter to deliver an exceptional dining experience to guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing attentive, professional, and personalized service while upholding the hotel’s brand standards and enhancing guest satisfaction.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Service: Warmly welcome guests, respond promptly to inquiries, and handle special requests with a professional demeanor.
Order Management: Accurately take food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery; ensure the proper sequence of courses or changes in accompaniments are clearly communicated to the kitchen.
Product Knowledge: Present menu explanations confidently and provide knowledgeable recommendations, including food and beverage pairings; promote beverage sales.
Standard Maintenance: Maintain immaculate table setups (including cutlery polishing, linen care, and floral arrangements) and ensure station upkeep throughout the service.
Operations: Coordinate seamlessly with the kitchen, bar, and other relevant departments; assist with guest queries efficiently.
Sales & Billing: Practice upselling and cross-selling while maintaining high service standards; present bills to customers and ensure settlement according to hotel procedures.
Facility Setup: Set up the restaurant before and after service according to brand standards.
Problem Resolution: Address or escalate complaints to the relevant authority and professionally resolve service recoveries when needed.
Continuous Improvement: Support improvements by gathering and relaying guest feedback.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
Education: Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Service, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of similar experience in service within a busy high-end restaurant.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel management software.
