Job Description
The County Government of Bungoma is seeking to recruit seven (7) Vocational and Technical Trainer Assistants III specializing in Information and Communication Technology. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing technical instruction and maintaining high educational standards within the county's vocational training institutions.
Responsibilities and Duties
Instruction: Instruct in areas of specialization (ICT) in accordance with the prescribed syllabus.
Material Preparation: Prepare and maintain essential instructional records, including schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, and teaching materials.
Assessment: Carry out trainee assessments both in the classroom and during industrial attachments.
Facility Management: Coordinate the storage, care, maintenance, and proper usage of teaching tools, equipment, and learning materials.
Co-curricular Support: Lead and conduct co-curricular activities for trainees to ensure holistic development.
Student Guidance: Maintain trainee discipline through active guiding and counseling sessions.
Supervision: Induct and supervise newly deployed Instructors to ensure consistency in training quality.
Requirements for Appointment
A Diploma in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Studies/Science, or an equivalent technical discipline from a recognized institution.
Training in pedagogical skills from an accredited institution.
Mandatory registration by the Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).
