Talent Grid Africa is seeking a dedicated Mathematics & Science Teacher for a Junior Secondary School position in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum while supporting learners in developing critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and scientific understanding.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality instruction in Mathematics and Science to Junior Secondary School students.
Implement lessons that align with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum standards.
Foster an environment that encourages critical thinking and active scientific inquiry.
Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a productive and safe learning environment.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learner development.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress.
Requirements
Must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Mathematics and Science.
Mandatory registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked within a Junior Secondary School setting.
A solid understanding of the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum implementation.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills are essential.
