The university seeks to recruit a Visiting Lecturer in Human Anatomy to deliver high-quality medical education, facilitate learning sessions, and support the academic growth of students within the Medical School.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver lectures and facilitate learning sessions in Human Anatomy in accordance with the approved curriculum and course outlines.
Prepare and submit teaching materials, lesson plans, and learning resources in a timely manner.
Administer Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs), assignments, practical assessments, and examinations as scheduled.
Set, invigilate, and mark examinations, and submit results within the stipulated University timelines.
Provide students with academic guidance, mentorship, and support in their areas of study.
Maintain accurate student attendance records, assessment records, and academic progress reports.
Keep abreast of developments and emerging trends within the medical and academic fields to enrich teaching.
Participate in curriculum review and academic quality assurance activities.
Engage in scholarly and professional activities including research, publications, and conferences.
Observe and comply with University policies, academic regulations, and professional standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
Masters of Medicine in a relevant area of specialization from a recognized academic institution.
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
At least three (3) years of teaching and research experience at a university level.
Relevant work experience in the medical industry.
Registered and licensed to practice by the Relevant Professional Body.
An earned PhD degree in the relevant area or being registered for a PhD will be an added advantage.
