The University Chaplain (Grade 12) at Egerton University is responsible for providing spiritual guidance, pastoral care, and counseling services to the university community. The chaplain works closely with fellows and student groups to foster a supportive and spiritually enriching environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist University Chaplaincy fellows in their activities.
Conduct individual and group spiritual counseling sessions.
Assist in keeping accurate records of students’ spiritual activities.
Assist in analysis of students’ data on spiritual counseling for decision making.
Make professional spiritual referrals for specialized interventions.
Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the university management.
Requirements and Qualifications
PhD in Theology or Equivalent from a recognized institution.
At least 5 years’ experience as a University Chaplain or in a recognized Church.
Must be an Ordained Minister.
Must be a member of mainstream Protestant recognized denominations.
Must be computer literate.
