Tutorial Fellow - Grade XI (Food Technology)

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching: Undertake teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Research Management: Lead and manage teams in conducting research individually or collaboratively.
• Publication: Disseminate research findings through publishing peer-reviewed outputs and presenting at national and international learned conferences.
• Mentorship: Supervise, advise, and mentor postgraduate students and their research.
• Funding: Write proposals for research and development funding.
• Policy Contribution: Significantly contribute to the development of academic policies and lead subject-area research activities.
• Networking: Develop collaborative links and research partnerships with other researchers and institutions within and outside the university.
• Curriculum Development: Participate in the development and review of academic programmes and curriculum.
• Early-Career Guidance: Guide and mentor early-stage researchers in their training and skills acquisition.
• Academic Administration: Manage examination preparation, administration, and departmental activities.
• Community Engagement: Undertake community outreach activities and provide leadership in the department or school.

Job Requirements

• Evidence of registration for a PhD.
• An earned Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited and recognized University.
• At least eight (8) equivalent publication points from credible refereed journal articles.
• Registration with a relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing.
• Evidence of Community Outreach/Engagement.
• Relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies.
