Job Description
Kenyatta University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Tutorial Fellow within the Department of Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics. This academic role involves teaching, research, and professional development within the university's framework.
Role Purpose and Responsibilities
Deliver undergraduate teaching and tutorials within the area of Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics.
Support the department in administrative and academic activities.
Engage in active research and pursue doctoral studies as part of professional growth.
Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional journeys.
Participate in curriculum development and review processes within the department.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree qualification in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics from an accredited and recognized university.
PhD Enrollment: Must be currently registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics.
Experience: At least two (2) years of teaching experience at institutions of higher learning.
Professional Membership: Must be registered with the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI).
Terms of Service
Tutorial Fellows are employed on a one (1) year renewable contract up to a maximum of three (3) years.
A competitive remuneration package, which includes basic salary, house allowance, and medical cover as per the University Scheme, will be provided.
