Tutorial Fellow Computer Science

Role Overview

The Tutorial Fellow will support the Department of Computer Science in delivering high-quality undergraduate instruction, facilitating tutorials, and managing practical laboratory sessions. The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate significant progress in their own PhD research and contribute to the university's academic community.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation and delivery of undergraduate tutorials and practical sessions.
• Supporting senior faculty in lecture delivery and curriculum development.
• Grading student assignments, practical reports, and examinations.
• Participating in departmental research projects and academic seminars.
• Providing academic guidance and mentorship to undergraduate students.
• Maintaining active progress in doctoral studies and research.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree: Must possess at least a Second Class Upper Division degree in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized university.
• Master’s Degree: Must hold a Master’s degree in the area of specialty from a recognized university.
• PhD Registration: Applicants MUST be registered for a PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• PhD Progress: Evidence of substantial progress in PhD studies (such as a PhD progress report) is a mandatory submission requirement.

The complete Application Package (consisting of both hard and soft copies) must reach the university no later than 5.00 pm on Friday, 8th May, 2026.
