Truck Driver

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Operations: Operate company trucks safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Timely Delivery: Transport goods to assigned destinations within agreed timelines.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) and report any faults or issues immediately.
• Cargo Management: Ensure proper loading, securing, and offloading of goods to prevent damage or loss.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery records, including logbooks, fuel usage, and delivery notes.
• Routing: Adhere to assigned routes and schedules unless otherwise directed.
• Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
• Reporting: Report accidents, delays, or incidents promptly to management.
• Compliance: Support compliance with company safety standards and transport regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Licensing: Valid driving license (Class C and C1).
• Experience: Minimum of 3–4 years’ proven experience as a truck driver.
• Education: Minimum KCSE (Secondary School Certificate).
• Knowledge: Good knowledge of road safety regulations and routes.
• Record: Clean driving record (no major traffic offenses).

• Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage (to identify minor issues early).

• Physically fit and able to handle loading/offloading where required.
