Job Description
Role Overview
Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, seeks to recruit a Trade Development Representative (TDR) for the Kakamega CBD area. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, the primary focus of this role is to conduct regular channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIMs and Float. The representative will be responsible for visibility and merchandising at the point of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Recruitment & Mapping: Effectively manage the identification and recruitment of Agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Route Management: Visit SSOs and Agents regularly using agreed route plans (beat plans).
Training & Support: Provide all requisite transaction tools at SSO and agent outlets and train partners on relevant business processes.
Compliance Training: Conduct AML training and testing for agents and train SSOs on KYC processes in relation to SIM registration (SIMREG).
Stock Management: Monitor and enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs have adequate SIM stock for new registrations and activations.
Merchandising: Develop and maintain merchandising standards by providing and placing materials at SSO and Agent outlets.
Requirements
Academic Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role within the FMCG or Telecommunications sectors.
