Fontana Enterprises Limited (FEL) is a company incorporated in Kenya, established in 1978 and incorporated as a limited liability company in 1985. FEL has grown into a leader in both local and international procurement and commission agency business in the East African region. We represent numerous international firms and undertake joint ventures with established firms. We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Tender Specialist / Sales Executive to manage tender applications and drive sales growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing and supplying goods, as well as navigating procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and track tender opportunities related to general supplies (e.g., office supplies, equipment, consumables).
Prepare, review, and submit complete tender documents in compliance with specific requirements.
Source quotations from suppliers and prepare competitive pricing for bids.
Maintain a highly organized database of tender documents and previous submissions.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and procurement officers.
Generate leads and actively seek out new business opportunities to expand market reach.
Follow up diligently on submitted tenders and sales leads.
Negotiate terms and close supply contracts.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of a BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field.
Proven experience in tendering, procurement, or sales, specifically in general supplies.
Strong understanding of government and NGO procurement procedures.
Good negotiation and supplier sourcing skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Added Advantages
Experience with Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Kenya processes.
Existing network with reputable suppliers or procurement officers.
Practical knowledge of IFMIS or other e-procurement systems.
