Egerton University is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Technologist II Grade 7 (Survey, Soil and Water) under vacancy reference EU/ARE/2026/0615. The successful candidate will support academic, research, and practical training activities in the specialization of agricultural surveying, soil science, and water engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for student practicals and laboratory sessions in agricultural surveying, soil science, and water engineering.
Support academic staff and students in carrying out research projects and field trials.
Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and storage of laboratory and field equipment.
Maintain accurate inventories of chemicals, materials, and equipment in the laboratory/field station.
Enforce and adhere to environmental, health, and laboratory safety standards.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Diploma in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Survey, Soil and Water or a related field from a recognized institution of higher learning.
At least three (3) years of working experience in an institution of higher learning or a related industry.
Computer literacy.
Remuneration
Salary Scale: Kshs. 42,858.00 – Kshs. 65,986.00 per month.
