CDL Human Resource is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer specializing in Industrial Wastewater Treatment. This role is focused on driving business growth by identifying new customers, conducting technical assessments of existing plants, and implementing chemical programs that deliver measurable value. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technical engineering solutions and commercial sales success.
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion: Conduct market research to identify and acquire new customers in the industrial wastewater treatment sector.
Technical Auditing: Perform thorough technical audits of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) to identify optimization opportunities.
Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive technical proposals with a clear return on investment (ROI) for prospective clients.
Performance Validation: Execute plant trials and perform validation of system performance to ensure treatment standards are met.
Contract Management: Successfully convert successful trials into long-term chemical supply and service contracts.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with plant engineers and key decision-makers.
Chemical Programming: Develop and implement optimized chemical programs tailored to specific industrial needs.
Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed annual sales targets through collaborative customer engagement.
Reporting: Provide detailed monthly reports on sales activities and market developments within the assigned jurisdiction.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Water Engineering, Water Technology, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably with a proven track record in a B2B industrial environment.
Technical Skills: Advanced computer proficiency, specifically in MS Office programs, and experience with CRM systems (HubSpot is highly preferred).
Operational Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license, as this is a field-based role requiring frequent travel to client sites.
Competencies: Ability to work effectively toward deadlines and targets, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
