Role Overview
The Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator at Sistema.bio is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant procurement, inventory management, and logistics. The primary objective is to enable the company to serve farmers reliably while maintaining optimal costs and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Coordination
Oversee end-to-end supply chain activities from procurement through to final delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and carry out demand planning.
Proactively resolve shipment delays or disruptions.
Logistics & Distribution
Coordinate local and international shipments across road, sea, and air.
Manage relationships with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and transporters.
Ensure timely delivery to warehouses and project sites while optimizing routing and transport costs.
Procurement Management
Lead sourcing and supplier coordination across various departments.
Track purchase orders to ensure timely fulfilment.
Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Cost Management & Reporting
Track logistics and supply chain costs against the budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, delivery performance, and logistics KPIs.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
Maintain accurate documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
Professional qualification (e.g., CPSP-K) is an advantage.
3–5 years' experience in supply chain, procurement, and international logistics.
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
Strong ethics, accountability, negotiation skills, and flexibility.
