Andela is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to join our team. This is a net-new hunting role focused on identifying and engaging senior decision-makers to close and onboard new business. You will be responsible for running multi-threaded, non-linear deal cycles across various industries and building a robust pipeline through targeted outreach and strategic networking. The primary focus of this role is on the Africa and Middle East markets, including Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Andela provides companies with access to the top 1% of global tech talent, helping them accelerate their product roadmaps by providing distributed team members.
Key Responsibilities
Hunt and Win New Business: Own the full sales cycle from identifying and engaging senior decision-makers to closing and onboarding. This is a net-new hunting role.
Territory Ownership: Develop a point of view on where the opportunity is densest in Africa and the Middle East, sequence efforts accordingly, and build a local presence that opens doors.
Navigate Complex Market Dynamics: Structure deals that account for budget cycles, FX considerations, and procurement realities. Adapt your approach across relationship-first cultures and varying institutional trust environments.
Build and Grow Accounts: Work closely with delivery and customer success teams to ensure clients see value fast and identify expansion opportunities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and delivery to ensure clients receive a coherent, high-quality experience from first conversation through long-term partnership.
Pipeline Management: Manage and forecast your pipeline rigorously in Salesforce or HubSpot, creating structure and visibility out of ambiguity.
Required Qualifications
7+ years in B2B enterprise sales at a technology services or SaaS company.
Demonstrated track record of net-new business hunting into mid-market and large enterprises.
Proven track record in quota attainment with documented success.
Deep familiarity with at least one of: banking/fintech, telco, energy, high-growth tech scaleups, government-linked entities, or other regulated industries.
Proven ability to engage and close at the C-suite level; comfortable with both technical (CTO) and financial (CFO) decision-makers.
Experience selling across complex, multi-threaded deal cycles with multiple buyer profiles and long or unpredictable timelines.
Ability to act as a bridge between US company expectations and local market realities.
Ability to evidence the use of AI tools to improve role multiplication and efficiency.
Proficiency in Salesforce, pipeline forecasting, and funnel analysis.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
