Role Overview
The Stores & Warehouse Controller is responsible for managing and controlling inventory across raw materials, consumables, and finished goods. This multi-functional role ensures accurate receiving, storage, issuing, system recording (Odoo), and dispatch verification, while maintaining high standards of stock accuracy, documentation, and operational efficiency.
The role allows for rotation across various functions including Raw Materials & Consumables, Finished Goods Control, and Inventory System & Coordination (Odoo).
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Receiving & Storage
Receive raw materials, consumables, and finished goods against relevant documents while conducting quantity and quality checks.
Ensure proper labeling, binning, and storage in compliance with FIFO/FEFO principles.
Stock Issuing & Production Support
Prepare and issue raw materials to production in a timely manner.
Ensure all transactions are accurately documented in bin cards and the system.
Monitor material usage and promptly report any discrepancies.
Finished Goods Control & Dispatch Support
Receive finished goods from production with proper documentation.
Verify quantities before storage and dispatch, and cross-check picked items.
Support accurate and timely order fulfillment.
System Control (Odoo) & Documentation
Record all stock movements in Odoo, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
Prepare Manufacturing Orders and coordinate internal transfers.
Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
Stock Control & Reconciliation
Conduct regular cycle counts and stock checks.
Investigate and report variances, and support periodic stock takes and audits.
Maintain high stock accuracy across all inventory categories.
Reporting & Coordination
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
Communicate stock status to production, procurement, and sales teams.
Raise purchase requisitions as required to support operations.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure adherence to warehouse procedures and maintain proper documentation including GRNs, bin cards, and delivery orders.
Uphold high integrity standards to prevent stock losses and ensure accountability.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in a warehouse or stores environment.
Prior experience using an ERP system (Odoo is preferred).
