Role Overview
The Stock Controller at Safal Group is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across the production cycle, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products. This role ensures operational efficiency by monitoring stock levels, conducting reconciliations, and facilitating the movement of materials according to production plans and FIFO principles.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Record Maintenance: Maintain precise records of raw materials, WIP, and finished products.
Stock Monitoring: Actively monitor stock levels and initiate timely action plans for inventory movement.
Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconcile any variances found.
Stock Management Principles: Implement and adhere to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles in all stock management activities.
Quality Control: Inspect materials for quality, potential damage, or any deviations from required specifications.
Production Support: Issue materials to production departments based on the rolling plan and maintain records of production and stock transfers.
Reporting: Generate daily stock reports for production teams and management; investigate and report discrepancies, losses, or damage.
Coordination: Work closely with production planners to ensure material availability and track WIP movement through various stages (rolling, galvanizing, or finishing).
Systems Management: Update the SAP system with real-time stock movement data.
Warehouse Standards: Ensure efficient stacking and labelling of products by size, class, or thickness; maintain a clean and orderly storage environment.
Logistics Support: Oversee loading and offloading activities to verify the accuracy of transferred quantities.
Compliance: Participate in safety audits, housekeeping inspections, and quality control activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Supply Chain, Store Keeping, or a related field.
General Experience: 3-5 years of general work experience.
Specific Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience specifically in a stock control or store-keeping role.
Industry Context: Previous experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, or Construction industries is required.

Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of SAP and material handling equipment (forklifts, overhead cranes) is an added advantage.
