Role Overview
The Stewarding Supervisor oversees the stewarding team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization across kitchens and food service areas at Pullman Hotels & Resorts. This role safeguards food safety compliance, supports kitchen operations, and maintains equipment and inventory while leading and motivating the stewarding team.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and all back-of-house areas.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards.
Conduct routine inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Maintain proper waste management and recycling practices.
Monitor the availability and condition of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Coordinate repairs or replacements for kitchen equipment and utilities.
Ensure safe storage and proper use of chemicals by the team.
Enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure chemical handling compliance.
Participate actively in hygiene audits and inspections.
Qualifications and Experience
A Certificate or Diploma in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
2–4 years of experience in stewarding, with prior supervisory exposure.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and organizational ability.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
