Role Overview
The Specialist Relationship Executive is responsible for supporting the Clinical Operations Manager (COM) in building, managing, and strengthening relationships with medical specialists and key referral partners. The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate seamless specialist service delivery, improve the overall doctor experience at the hospital, manage the credentialing and onboarding process, and drive growth in specialist-linked hospital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with specialists, GPs, and other healthcare stakeholders to promote hospital services and strengthen referral networks.
- Liaison & Communication: Serve as the first point of contact between specialists and the hospital, fostering a collaborative environment and responding to administrative or operational issues affecting their practice.
- Specialist Retention: Regularly engage with existing specialists to gather feedback, understand their needs, and identify service gaps.
- Issue Resolution: Promptly document, escalate, and resolve concerns or complaints raised by specialists within agreed timelines.
- Onboarding & Credentialing: Coordinate the vetting, credentialing, privileging, and onboarding process for prospective specialists, ensuring all documentation is accurate and properly filed.
- Operational Support: Follow up with internal departments on issues such as clinic space, equipment allocation, patient flow, and diagnostics support to ensure efficient practice environments for specialists.
- Reporting & Data: Prepare periodic reports regarding specialist engagement, onboarding status, and utilization trends.
- Business Development: Collaborate with marketing and clinical teams on promotions and business development initiatives, including field visits and engagement meetings.
- Governance & Compliance: Adhere to corporate governance policies, fraud prevention measures, and medical service provision protocols.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Healthcare Management, Public Relations, Nursing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a hospital/clinical support role, stakeholder liaison, or a similar capacity.
- Preferred Experience: Experience specifically working with doctors, consultants, or clinical teams is a significant advantage.
- Skills: Strong coordination, follow-up, stakeholder management, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Integrity: Must demonstrate high integrity and professional customer care standards.
