The Shop Assistant will assist the Shop Supervisor with stock management and movement in the assigned shop as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role involves maintaining optimal conditions for livestock (chicks), cleaning the facility, and providing professional customer service.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Stock Management: Assist with the management and movement of stock in the assigned shop according to SOPs.
Livestock Care: Receive chicks from the Hatchery as required and maintain them in optimal conditions for distribution to customers.
Customer Service: Attend to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Documentation: Generate invoices and provide all invoicing-related documents required for each sale.
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant company SOPs, policies, statutory regulations, and expected company behaviors.
Standards: Comply with biosecurity, Quality Assurance (QA) SOPs, and animal welfare standards.
Maintenance: Clean the shop facility and perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Diploma or Degree in Animal Health or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
Computer Skills: Must be computer literate.
Communication: Strong communication skills with proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Locations: People residing in Nakuru, Nyeri, Kisumu, Kitale, Mombasa, or those with a good understanding of their environs are encouraged to apply.
