The Cereal Agronomist is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives within an assigned territory by promoting and selling Amiran product solutions, specifically chemicals and fertilizers, through professional sales techniques and long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a proper framework for selling chemicals and fertilizers.
Identify and develop marketing and penetration strategies for cereal-focused products.
Carry out field visits to meet farmers and agricultural intermediaries periodically to deliver presentations on agricultural solutions.
Collect and analyze relevant market information regarding agricultural products and formulate appropriate response strategies.
Work closely with partners to identify, develop, and implement innovative agricultural products that meet current market needs.
Collaborate with farmers and other stakeholders to identify ways of entrenching agricultural products offered by the Company.
Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, and new product entries in the market.
Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars, and trade shows.
Prepare written presentations, reports, and price quotations.
Provide follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction and ensure that agricultural premium income targets are achieved.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Agronomy.
At least five years' experience working in the field crops sector, mainly cereals, dealing with agrochemicals and fertilizer sales.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills.
Proficiency in computer applications (Must be computer literate).
Possession of a valid driving license.
Willingness to travel widely.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
