Job Description
The ServiceNow Administrator is responsible for managing the daily operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform. This role involves providing support to end-users, developing system documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions that align with business needs. The successful candidate will leverage the agile methodology to manage work backlogs and ensure the platform remains up-to-date and efficient.
Major Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 end-user support for ServiceNow related issues, escalating to the Senior System Admin as necessary.
Produce comprehensive documentation, including user and admin guides, to facilitate system usage.
Develop and generate user-specific reports for trend and performance analysis.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document solution requirements for incidents and requests.
Design, configure, and maintain solutions built on the ServiceNow platform.
Create and maintain Knowledgebase articles regarding configuration and report building.
Implement system configuration changes and manage platform upgrades.
Provide expertise and support during all major ServiceNow releases.
Use agile methodology to prioritize story backlogs and forecast completion dates.
Manage application functionality through Quality Assurance (QA) and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Develop training materials and conduct quarterly training sessions for users.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow administration.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Experience with core ServiceNow modules: Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript.
Experience with user and group management, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and roles.
Ability to implement scheduled jobs, notifications, and platform updates.
