Job Description
Emerge Egress Consulting (EEC) is a Management and Training Consulting firm established in 2017. We are currently looking for a Service Coordinator to join a hospitality client team. The primary objective of this role is to create a positive first impression for hotel guests by offering a warm welcome, coordinating guest flow efficiently, and fostering pleasant interactions to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Management: Manage multiple responsibilities, including handling reservations and coordinating guest seating arrangements efficiently.
Front-of-House Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness at the restaurant entrance, specifically ensuring door handles and windows are spotless.
Welcoming Services: Greet guests courteously, identify first-time visitors, and offer a warm introduction to the establishment.
Operational Coordination: Work closely with service staff to determine appropriate seating availability and provide effective communication between kitchen personnel and front-of-house staff.
Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times. Bid farewell to departing guests and encourage repeat visits.
Administrative Tasks: Respond to calls, manage bookings, and process takeaway orders where applicable.
Problem Solving: Address customer concerns promptly and ensure complaints are resolved in a timely manner.
Internal Relations: Liaise between employees and management, acting as a mediator in case of disputes.
Staff Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to newly recruited hospitality staff.
Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas toward the restaurant’s layout and ambiance design.
Reporting: Report daily business activities to management and escalate any significant issues.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
Education: Certificate or Diploma in Food and Beverage, Hospitality, or a related field. (BA/BSc/HND also accepted).
Experience: At least 3 years of previous experience in hospitality or service-oriented roles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
