Job Description
IQVIA (formerly Quintiles and IMS Health, Inc.) is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services to the life sciences industry. We are seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer to join our Functional Service Provider (FSP) team in Nairobi. In this role, you will provide advanced technical expertise and lead programming efforts for complex clinical studies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality statistical outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Study Programming: Plan, coordinate, and implement programming, testing, and documentation of statistical programs used for creating statistical tables, figures, and listings (TFLs).
Dataset Development: Program analysis datasets (derived datasets) and transfer files for internal and external clients.
Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control checks for source data and report data issues periodically.
Technical Specifications: Interpret project-level requirements and develop comprehensive programming specifications for complex studies.
Leadership: Act as a technical team lead for single complex studies or groups of studies, managing resource assignments and negotiating project timelines.
Communication: Directly collaborate with internal and client statisticians and clinical team members to ensure alignment on requirements and timelines.
Mentorship: Provide training and mentoring to Statistical Programming (SP) team members and promote the use of established standards, SOPs, and best practices.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of Statistical Programming experience specifically within the Life Science Industry.
Domain Knowledge: Strong experience with Efficacy data and advanced knowledge of the clinical drug development process.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in computing applications including Base SAS, SAS Graph, and SAS Macro Language.
Industry Standards: Advanced knowledge of relevant Data Standards such as CDISC, ADaM, and SDTM.
