The Senior Quality Assurance Officer (Quality Assurance) will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of university education through auditing, compliance monitoring, and peer reviewer coordination. This role involves developing schedules for quality audits, identifying and liaising with peer reviewers, and preparing documentation for university rankings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Developing schedules for quality audits and harmonization of minimum standards for academic programmes.
Identifying and liaising with peer reviewers on external quality auditing and harmonization of minimum standards for academic programmes.
Making requests and following up on payment of peer reviewers.
Developing schedules for monitoring internal quality assurance systems.
Organizing monitoring of compliance to university education policies and standards.
Drafting communication/letters for feedback to stakeholders with regard to compliance.
Preparing documentation to facilitate ranking of universities.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
At least four (4) years’ experience in a relevant field.
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution.
Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
