Rafiki Microfinance Bank is seeking a Senior Officer-Digital Products & Partnerships to drive the growth and management of digital and partnership-driven portfolios, including LNM, SOLV, and Consumer Lending. This role focuses on scaling profitable portfolios, maintaining high asset quality, and strengthening strategic partnerships to boost branch performance while ensuring strict adherence to credit, operational, and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Partnerships & Stakeholder Coordination
Manage strategic partnerships, MOUs, and compliance with lending programs.
Coordinate across Business, Credit, Risk, Finance, IT, and external partners.
Track operational issues, data gaps, and enforce SLAs.
Pipeline & Branch Enablement
Drive sourcing, onboarding, and conversion of partnership pipelines.
Enable branches on partner programs and improve client uptake.
Support value-chain financing including agribusiness, trade, and payroll lending.
Portfolio & Risk Monitoring
Monitor portfolio performance, arrears, and early delinquency by partner or product.
Support credit exception tracking and remediation; participate in portfolio reviews.
Systems & Innovation
Support testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and rollout of lending platform enhancements.
Log and resolve system issues with IT and vendors; contribute to product research and innovation.
Product Operations
Support daily operations of semi-digital lending products such as LNM, SOLV, Rafiki Salo, and Upaware/Lipad.
Ensure alignment with credit policy and partner contracts; identify and escalate operational or system anomalies.
Reconciliations & Settlements
Execute accurate postings for disbursements, repayments, and adjustments.
Reconcile partner platforms with core banking systems.
Validate and settle partner invoices for income share, fees, and commissions.
Analytics & Reporting
Deliver regular and ad-hoc reports on growth, quality, profitability, and partner performance.
Provide actionable insights for scaling decisions and support audit requirements.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) regulations, consumer protection, and data privacy laws.
Maintain audit-ready documentation for agreements, reconciliations, and settlements.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Banking, IT, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, Credit, or Risk Management is an added advantage.
3-5 years of experience in banking operations, digital lending, product support, partnerships, or credit administration.
Experience with core banking systems, digital lending platforms, and financial reconciliations.
