Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Network Administrator to join our Nairobi team. You will provide advanced network support to our US clients, assist junior technicians, and help maintain high standards of service delivery in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, managing infrastructure, and guiding other technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support: Provide remote advanced support and assistance to junior technicians.
Client Management: Attend IT meetings and ensure timely follow-up on tasks for key clients (Bebashi, TLC, Scholar, and others).
Network Management: Handle Wi-Fi support, installation, and optimization. Install, configure, and manage network switches.
Troubleshooting: Resolve complex connectivity and network issues.
Server Administration: Perform server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP management.
Systems Support: Provide application support for client environments and support additional systems including Door Access Control and Camera/Surveillance Systems.
Supervision: Supervise and guide technicians during cabling, desktop support, and on-site tasks.
Monitoring: Use Atera RMM tool effectively for monitoring, ticketing, and remote support.
Security: Ensure proper use of spam filters and security tools.
Performance KPIs
Monthly billable hours.
Managed hours vs. Project hours.
Successful upsells and client references.
Positive client reviews and feedback.
Percentage of closed tickets with supporting pictures/documentation.
Low number of abandoned tickets (no update in 2 weeks).
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Minimum Diploma qualification.
Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on experience in network administration and MSP environments.
Networking Expertise: Strong skills in switches, Wi-Fi, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
Directory Services: Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
Office 365: Proficiency in administration and security (MFA).
Tools: Experience with Atera or similar RMM tools.
Hardware: Experience with Cambium, UniFi, SonicWall, Watchguard, or similar enterprise networking equipment is a big advantage.
Leadership: Proven ability to supervise and guide junior technicians.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation habits.
Compliance: Must have a valid KRA PIN.

Competitive monthly contractor fee: KES 120,000 – 160,000.
