Egerton University is seeking a qualified and experienced academic for the position of Senior Lecturer Grade 13 (Human Anatomy) under reference EU/ARE/2026/0610.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Human Anatomy to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Conduct original scientific research and publish findings in recognized peer-reviewed scholarly journals.
Supervise postgraduate student research, theses, and dissertations.
Participate in curriculum development, review, and implementation.
Prepare and grade student assessments, examinations, and coursework.
Provide academic leadership and mentorship to students and junior faculty members.
Participate in departmental administrative duties, committee work, and university activities.
Requirements
Education: Master of Medicine with specialization in Human Anatomy from a recognized University. The Master’s degree must have an equivalent in Fellowship Training recognized by the Medical Council of Kenya. A PhD in Human Anatomy is an added advantage.
Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Lecturer or Senior Researcher, or six (6) years of research/industry experience.
Scholarly Output: Solid evidence of publications in scholarly journals.
Professional Registration: Must be registered with the relevant professional body.
