Job Description
Kenya Development Corporation Ltd (KDC) is a Development Finance Institution established in 2020 to merge the operations of Industrial and Commercial Development Corporation (ICDC), Tourism Finance Corporation (TFC), and IDB Capital Limited. The Senior Information Communication Technology Assistant (System Development) is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Corporation's information systems. This role involves developing business systems documentation, automating manual processes, and providing technical support for specialized software like Microsoft Dynamics Navision. The officer ensures business continuity through rigorous data backups and provides essential IT support to end-users while managing the local network infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Developing documentation of business systems according to user requirements and specifications.
Installing and configuring business systems and solutions.
Supporting the automation of manual business processes.
Maintaining application systems by identifying and fixing software bugs.
Providing end-user support and training users on effective and efficient use of ICT facilities.
Installing, configuring, and monitoring Local Area Network (LAN) components.
Administering and managing users in the Active Directory, email server, and user applications.
Maintaining an up-to-date ICT equipment register and issuance register.
Updating and maintaining the KDC website.
Ensuring business continuity by performing regular data and application backups.
Designing, customizing, and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics Navision while providing technical support and optimizing system performance.
Monitoring the use of ICT hardware and reporting any faults for further action.
Requirements and Qualifications
Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Communication Technology, Software Engineering, Business IT, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Cumulative service period of five (5) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should be at the grade of Senior ICT Assistant or in a comparable position.
Supervisory skills course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution.
Certification in Microsoft Dynamics Nav/Business Central.
At least any one (1) certification from relevant professional bodies in either Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), CISA, CISM, CGEIT, or other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Membership to an equivalent ICT professional body.
