The Senior Electrician at Bridge Talent Management is responsible for leading and supervising electrical tasks within the service team, with a primary focus on high-power electrical systems and generator technology. The role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of generator sets (22-1000 kVA), from installation and commissioning to complex diagnostic repairs and routine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision and Planning: Plan and supervise daily and weekly electrical tasks for the service team to ensure high-quality and timely completion.
Installation and Commissioning: Install, commission, and service generator sets ranging from 22 to 1000 kVA and their associated electrical systems.
Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical faults, performing both preventive and corrective maintenance while ensuring no secondary issues are created.
Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical technicians on installations and commissioning; support site handovers and loading/unloading activities.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety of all electrical tools, strictly adhere to safety procedures, and maintain a safe working environment.
Asset Management: Manage workshop tools, spare parts inventory, and all relevant technical documentation.
Training and Support: Provide technical support to customers and junior staff, contribute to training plans, and deliver technical training to team members.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Technical diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance. Substantial experience with generators (22-1000 kVA) is highly preferred.
Certification: Must possess a valid practicing certificate and relevant generator-specific certifications.
Attributes: Must be at least 26 years of age, in good health, and maintain a professional demeanor.
