Job Description
The Senior Analyst, Risk and Compliance (Senior Business Analyst 2) role is responsible for the implementation of robust risk management and compliance programs within the Central Bank of Kenya. The job holder should possess robust analytical skills and the capacity to collaborate across departments, fostering a culture that is proactive in managing risks and ensuring compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Risk Implementation: Implement best-practice risk management and compliance processes across the Bank.
Risk Registers: Review and update risk registers, ensuring timely submission from all relevant units.
Incident Management: Evaluate incidents, ensure closure, and integrate lessons learned into the risk registers.
Training & Awareness: Identify risk knowledge gaps and contribute to staff training and awareness initiatives.
Assessments: Conduct risk reviews, assessments, and evaluations using approved templates and tools.
Reporting: Consolidate and prepare comprehensive risk and compliance reports for all departments.
Culture Support: Support implementation of bank-wide risk and compliance programs to strengthen the institutional risk culture.
Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) policies.
Divisional Support: Provide administrative support to the Risk & Compliance Division.
General Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by divisional leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field from a reputable University.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Risk and Compliance management.
Certifications: Professional certification in at least one risk management discipline is considered an added advantage.
