Security Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Theft & Damage Prevention: Prevent theft and damage to Company property.
• Guard Management: Ensure regular rotation of sub-contracted security guards and manage the subcontracted security company on site.
• Incident Reporting: Ensure all reported incidents are logged on the occurrence book and reported to the relevant person and proper action taken.
• Law Enforcement Liaison: Liaise with the local police on any alleged intrusion into the premises or company/client cargo and follow up the case to conclusion.
• Security Compliance: Ensure all security procedures are followed by all employees and Clients within the premises. Ensure all access points and control rooms are properly manned.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all security gadgets/tools/equipment (such as fences, alarms, and CCTV systems) are in good working condition. Maintain records of all main door keys and ensure safe custody of the same.
• Access Control: Ensure all items leaving the premises are accompanied by the relevant authorization documents and gate pass.
• Security Planning: Responsible for the implementation and management of the Security Plan. Coordinate all Bolloré Logistics Security Work and propose and/or manage all changes to this procedure.
• Problem Resolution: Identify problems with the Security Procedure and quickly resolve such to ensure that the general purpose of the procedure is maintained.
• Client Interface: Interface with Client's Security Management Team and monitor the Security Plan.
• Inspections: Conduct internal inspections and report to the Manager any non-compliance situation or deficiency.
• Recruitment & Training: Coordinate with selected security companies the guard's recruitment and screening of security personnel prior to acceptance. Supervise the training of subcontracted security force.
• Infrastructure Coordination: Coordinate with the Warehouse Control the fencing, lighting, anti-intrusion systems and other security devices to be installed at the storage yards.
• Security Audits: Carry out Security Audits (every six months) of the work sites and propose preventive and corrective actions.
• Emergency Response: Implement the emergency evacuation plan per work Site.

Profile & Requirements

• Relevant Degree, Diploma, or professional certification in Security or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years' hands-on experience in a busy and demanding work environment.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills.
