Job Description
The Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) is seeking to recruit three (3) Secretaries to join their team. The Kenya Institute of Mass Communication was established in 1961 and was originally named the Voice of Kenya Training School. Its primary purpose was to train electronic engineering staff and technicians for the Kenya Broadcasting Service (KBS), now known as the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). Today, it remains a premier institution for media and communication training in Kenya.
Job Purpose
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of various departments within the institute. This includes managing office workflows, handling documentation, and facilitating communication.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and organize physical and digital office files and records.
Process, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Draft and type official letters, reports, memos, and other documents.
Coordinate and manage schedules, appointments, and office meetings.
Provide general administrative support to senior staff and departments.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding office information.
Ensure the efficient operation of office equipment and supplies.
Qualifications and Requirements
Professional Qualification: Must possess a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Education: KCSE Certificate with a minimum grade of C- (minus).
