The main purpose of the role is to teach and educate students in line with the pedagogy of the Cambridge International Curriculum, under the overall guidance of the subject head of department, School Principal, and any other school authority according to the values and ethos of the Catholic Church.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Instruction: Teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities, and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to your care.
Curriculum Delivery: Deliver exceptional, real-world, enquiry-based Mathematics and Physics lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum.
School Philosophy: Contribute to and share responsibility for the realization of the vision and philosophy of the school.
Professional Conduct: Demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes, and behaviors expected from all members of staff, working within the school's policies and framework.
Classroom Management: Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students, and maintained in an organized and focused manner.
Student Engagement: Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons so that students are excited and interested in their academic excellence.
Academic Accountability: Be accountable for students' mastery of content and academic standards.
Relationship Building: Maintain positive, constructive, and professional relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Degree in Education (BA/BSc/HND).
Certification: Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Certification.
Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience.
Faith: Must be a practicing Catholic who embraces the teachings of the Catholic church.
Attributes: Flexible and open to change - able to handle uncertainty and complexity well.
