Holy Cross Catholic International School is seeking a Secondary School Teacher for English and Literature. The main purpose of the role is to teach and educate students in line with the pedagogy of the Cambridge International Curriculum, under the overall guidance of the subject Head of Department, School Principal, and school authority, according to the values and ethos of the Catholic Church.
Key Responsibilities
Teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities, and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care by the Head of School.
Contribute to and share responsibility for the realization of the vision and philosophy of the school.
Deliver exceptional, real-world, enquiry-based English and Literature lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum.
Demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes, and behaviors expected from all members of staff.
Work within the school's policies and framework relating to teachers' responsibilities.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students, and maintain an organized and focused learning environment.
Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons so that students are excited and interested in their academic excellence.
Be accountable for students' mastery of content and academic standards.
Maintain positive, constructive, and professional relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.
Required Skills & Experience
A Degree in Education.
Valid TSC (Teachers Service Commission) certification.
At least 3 years of teaching experience.
Must be a practicing Catholic who embraces the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Flexible and open to change - able to handle uncertainty and complexity well.
