Holy Cross Catholic International School is a traditional Catholic school faithful to the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church in union with the Catholic Hierarchy. The school is owned and operated by the Society of St. Pius X, which is a congregation of priests and religious leaders dedicated to the preservation and promulgation of traditional Catholic teachings.
The main purpose of this role is to teach and educate students in line with the pedagogy of the Cambridge International Curriculum, under the overall guidance of the subject Head of Department, School Principal, and the school authority according to the values and ethos of the Catholic Church. The teacher is expected to teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities, and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care.
Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional, real-world, enquiry-based Biology and Chemistry lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum.
Teach and educate students according to their educational needs, abilities, and attainment potential under the guidance of the Head of School.
Contribute to and share responsibility for the realization of the vision and philosophy of the school.
Demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes, and behaviors expected from all members of staff.
Work within the school's policies and framework relating to teachers’ responsibilities.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students, and well-organized.
Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons to keep students excited and interested in academic excellence.
Be accountable for students' mastery of content and academic standards.
Maintain positive, constructive, and professional relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.
Requirements & Qualifications
TSC certification and a relevant degree in Education (BA/BSc/HND).
At least 2 years of teaching experience.
Must be a practising Catholic who embraces the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Flexible and open to change - able to handle uncertainty and complexity well.
