Role Overview
The Sales Executive (Transport-Cargo) is a strategic business development role focused on the logistics and transportation sector. The primary objective is to identify and secure new business opportunities for cargo and local transportation, ensuring company revenue growth while maintaining high service standards for clients and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the transport and logistics sector.
Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive business proposals, presentations, and formal tenders.
Collaborate closely with operations and finance teams to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed about customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
Achieve defined sales targets and contribute significantly to overall revenue growth.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development specifically within the transportation and logistics industry (Local Transport within Kenya).
Mandatory prior experience in the Logistics industry working with Cargo and Trucks.
Proven industry connections with a demonstrated ability to generate leads and close complex deals.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation abilities paired with a results-driven mindset.
An existing network of logistics clients is considered a distinct advantage.
