CDL Human Resource is seeking a Sales Executive for a role that combines field operations, logistics, and customer engagement within the FMCG and fresh goods sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient product delivery, accurate cash reconciliation, and driving sales growth through direct interaction with vendors and market intelligence gathering.
Responsibilities
Product Delivery & Logistics
Verify all dispatched products and assets against the delivery book and sign for custody.
Plan and execute time- and cost-effective delivery routes based on customer locations.
Ensure accurate, safe, and timely delivery of products to vendors as per the schedule.
Capture all delivery data in real-time using the DMS application.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards during handling and transit to prevent spoilage.
Cash Management & Reconciliation
Collect full customer payments and reconcile cash, returns, crates, and assigned assets accurately.
Deposit all collected funds into the designated company accounts (tills) following policy.
Resolve any product or asset variances at the end of every shift before signing off.
Sales Execution & Customer Engagement
Use the DMS to fulfill orders and proactively manage customer expectations regarding delays or stock-outs.
Provide professional responses to vendor queries in the market.
Drive sales by pushing available stock based on market demand and activation opportunities.
Introduce new products and services to customers while gathering feedback on satisfaction levels.
Collect and report real-time market intelligence, including competitor activities and trends.
Reporting & System Use
Submit daily sales reports and performance feedback using DMS or Microsoft Teams.
Promptly report any product or vehicle variances to the line manager or dispatch.
Share market trends and vendor feedback for internal review and strategy development.
Requirements
Education: A Bachelor's degree, BSc, or HND qualification.
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in FMCG or Fresh Goods operations, specifically in delivery, logistics, or sales.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in cash handling, financial reconciliation, and using Digital Management Systems (DMS) or reporting tools.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Adaptability: Ability to adjust to dynamic market conditions and handle field-based operations.
