J&I is a start-up company in the manufacturing sector, operating a small scale but fast-growing human and animal feed food processing roasted business in Nairobi. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Executive to join our human food business.
The Sales Executive will be responsible for recruiting and securing orders from distributors, supermarkets, minimarts and well-established retail shops on a given route.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the formal and informal retail market, excellent communication skills, and a passion for engaging with clients both in-person and online. The role is open to individuals in Coastal, Central and Central Rift Regions.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Sign up the business with big retail chains (supermarkets) and distributors in assigned region
Develop and maintain relationship with retail outlets to maintain a good flow of orders
Ensure timely stock replenishment to existing customers.
Gather information on client needs and preferences and make suggestions for product improvements.
Work with the production team to plan production schedules based on demand forecasts.
Manage the company’s social media pages and engage with clients.
Work with the ICT department to develop suitable content for the website
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in business or sales and marketing. Degree in Marketing will have an added advantage.
At least 1 year experience working in FMCG, specifically retail sales to distributors supermarkets and minimarkets.
Having existing customer base is a mandatory requirement
