Tenakata, a Central Bank of Kenya-licensed Digital Credit Provider, is looking for a committed, deadline-driven Sales and Collections Intern to join our sales team in Malindi. Our platform is designed to empower small businesses in Africa by assisting with financial record-keeping and promoting financial literacy through business support coaching.
Role Overview
The Sales and Collections Intern will complete all tasks assigned by the manager. This is a hands-on learning opportunity where you will work in pairs with Business Development Officers and Collections Officers to support branch goals, engage in market research, identify opportunities, and follow up on payments.
Key Responsibilities
Work in pairs with Business Development Officers and Collections Officers to achieve branch targets.
Deliver first-rate customer service and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Assist in contacting debtors to secure outstanding payments and following up with defaulters.
Perform customer education about our financial record-keeping and support services.
Generate sales leads, make cold calls, and conduct market research.
Assist in compiling accurate and timely reports of Management Information and market feedback regarding customer preferences and trends.
Qualifications and Requirements
A good level of general education (Diploma or Bachelor's Degree).
Educational background in Sales, Marketing, or a related business field.
Computer literacy is required.
Prior experience in a related field or within a financial institution will be considered a strong added advantage.
