As a Sales Account Manager at Kempinski Hotels, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, maximizing revenue, prospecting new accounts, and expanding our market share against competitors.
Key Responsibilities
Key Account Management: Responsible for key account management on an assigned account base or geographic area, ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets, and increasing fair market share versus competitor set.
Responsible for prospecting new accounts and conducting site inspections.
Business Development:
Compliance & Standards: Adhere to the Corporate Standard Operating Procedures and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
Booking & Contracting: Follow up of tentative bookings in the assigned markets, ensure timely contracting from the client base, and utilize SMART contracting to ensure optimum yielding during annual rate negotiations.
Market Intelligence: Maintain detailed knowledge of competitor set and all services provided by the Hotel, including all relevant facts and figures.
Event Attendance: Attend trade shows, sales blitzes, workshops, etc. in the assigned markets.
Strategic Planning: Assist the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing in defining an annual sales action plan and preparing the annual budget by providing statistics and forecasts of account productions. Execute sales actions within set cost budget structure.
Database & Cross-selling: Update OPERA contact database at all times and cross sell other Kempinski Hotels.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Be a Kenyan citizen.
University degree or diploma in a business-related field.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4/5 star hotel.
Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment.
Computer literacy adapted to the field of Sales.
